The interior of Roketsu reflects our deep respect for tradition. The restaurant was constructed using materials crafted in Kyoto by the renowned architect Nakamura Sotoji Komuten, a globally recognised master of the Sukiya-style of architecture.
Each day, we present our guests with seasonal ingredients in their most exquisite form. We focus on the visual appeal, taste, aroma, and texture of our dishes, ensuring that our guests experience a delicate and artistic culinary world.
Our Stunning Single-Slab Counter
On the ground floor of our restaurant, we welcome you at a unique counter made from a rare hinoki wood slab, more than 7 meters long and over 300 years old, preserved in Kyoto for over a century. Here, you can watch Chef Hayashi’s expert preparations, and he will often engage in conversation with you as you dine, bringing you even deeper into Kaiseki tradition.
At the counter, we offer our Kaiseki Course (Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with the last entry at 8:30 PM), as well as À la Carte options (Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM with the last entry at 9:30 PM). Join us in an environment where history and tradition come alive.

The Wine & Sake Lounge Bo-sen is open Tuesday to Saturday (6:00 PM to 11:00 PM with the last entry at 9:30 PM), and we welcome walk-ins without reservations.
